Dual Monitor DP 1.4 KVM Switch

The Vszerda dual-monitor KVM switch lets two computers share two DisplayPort monitors, one keyboard, one mouse and four USB 3.0 peripherals. It supports extended and copy display modes and includes all required DP and USB cables plus a wired remote. The unit is driver-free and works with Windows, Linux and Mac.

Who it suits and who it does not

This switch suits users who run two computers each equipped with two native DisplayPort outputs on the same discrete graphics card. It is not for setups that only have one monitor, that rely on a single video output per computer, or that need 4K switching above 60 Hz or 8K switching above 30 Hz.

Deciding specification

The maximum supported video timing is 8K at 30 Hz and 4K at 60 Hz over DisplayPort 1.4, with backward compatibility to DP 1.2. If your workflow demands higher refresh rates at those resolutions, this model will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

What does the 8K 30Hz rating mean when I connect two monitors to my PC?

Each DisplayPort output can drive one monitor at up to 8K resolution at 30 Hz, or 4K at 60 Hz, so both screens share that maximum bandwidth.

How does the DisplayPort 1.4 interface limit what I can run on both screens?

The DP 1.4 link caps total throughput, allowing 8K at 30 Hz or 4K at 60 Hz per monitor; higher refresh rates at 8K are not supported.

What cables and space do I need to mount this KVM on my desk?

The box includes two 1.5 m DisplayPort cables, two 1.5 m USB 3.0 cables, a 1.52 m wired remote and a DC 5 V power lead, so allow room for those lengths.
