Two-pack internal SAS breakout cables

This two-pack provides two 0.5 metre Mini-SAS SFF-8087 to 4x SFF-8482 breakout cables for connecting a SAS HBA or RAID controller to four SAS or SATA hard drives. Each cable is designed for internal storage expansion in servers or workstations. The host end uses a 36-pin SFF-8087 male connector while each target end presents an SFF-8482 connector.

SATA power adapter integrated per drive

Every SFF-8482 connector includes a built-in SATA 7-pin data and 15-pin power adapter so each attached drive receives both signal and power from a single breakout lead. The cables are labelled to simplify routing and cable management inside the chassis. A separate SATA power supply cable must be attached to each adapter connector for the drives to operate.

6 Gb/s per drive transfer rate

The assembly supports a data transfer rate up to 6 Gb/s per connected drive using 30 AWG copper conductors. Note that the SFF-8087 host connector must attach to the controller side and not to a backplane; the breakout will not function if connected in reverse.
