Converts 3.5-inch IDE hard drives or optical drives to SATA with a 39-pin adapter, supports up to 1000G capacity, and works plug-and-play on 32-bit and 64-bit Windows systems
The Vszerda 39-pin adapter converts 3.5-inch IDE hard disks, optical drives and recorder drives to a SATA interface so they can connect directly to a motherboard SATA port. It works with IDE burners and parallel ATA devices up to 1000G capacity. No driver is required and the board is compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit Windows XP, 7 and 8 systems.
This card lets you keep using an existing IDE drive when the motherboard no longer provides an IDE header, avoiding a full drive replacement. The jump is worth it when you need to recover data from an old recorder or extend the life of a legacy optical drive without hunting for a vintage controller. The adapter supports SATA 1 and SATA 2 generations for broad motherboard compatibility.
The converted drive remains bound by the original IDE transfer rate, so sustained throughput will not exceed the parallel ATA ceiling. The jumper on the source device must be set to MASTER position for the adapter to function correctly. Drives larger than 1000G are not supported and the board does not add features such as native command queuing or hot-plug capability.

The adapter measures 6 by 2.2 cm and is designed for 3.5-inch IDE hard drives or optical drives.
Plug the adapter onto the drive's 39-pin IDE connector, attach the included data and power cables, then set the drive jumper to Master before powering on.
The card supports parallel ATA drives up to 1000 GB; drives beyond that capacity would require a different solution.
