4-port HDMI switch with audio extraction

The Vszerda unit accepts four HDMI sources and routes one to a single display while simultaneously sending audio to optical, coaxial, 3.5 mm jack and stereo RCA outputs. It is designed for home-theatre owners who need to connect multiple consoles, streamers or players to one screen and separate the sound for a soundbar or AV receiver. Buyers who require more than four inputs or a second simultaneous video output should look elsewhere.

18 Gbps bandwidth and HDCP 2.2 compliance

The switch passes 4K at 60 Hz with 36-bit colour depth and supports HDR10, making it suitable for current-generation consoles and UHD Blu-ray players. Maximum bandwidth per channel is 600 MHz and the aggregate rate reaches 18.2 Gbps. It will not work with DVI displays, so systems that rely on HDMI-to-DVI cables are not compatible.

Simple push-button or remote switching

Front-panel buttons or the included IR remote select the active source instantly. The HDMI output also carries ARC, allowing a TV's internal apps to send audio back through the extractor. Ensure source devices are set to output bitstream audio; the unit passes Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio but cannot decode them, so the downstream amplifier must handle those formats.

Questions about this item

What does the 18Gbps bandwidth mean for my 4K 60Hz setup?

It carries full 4K 60Hz 4:4:4 36-bit colour without compression, so games and HDR video keep their native quality across the switch.

How does HDMI 2.0b with HDCP 2.2 affect what I can watch?

The 2.0b link handles 4K 60Hz and the HDCP 2.2 handshake lets protected 4K streams from a PS5, Fire Stick or Blu-ray player pass through to the display.

What cables and space do I need to fit the four inputs and the audio outputs?

Four HDMI 2.0b cables up to 3 metres for 4K 60Hz sources, one HDMI cable to the display, plus Toslink, coaxial or 3.5 mm leads for the extracted audio.
