A full-height bracket and a low-profile bracket are both included so the card works in full-size towers and compact chassis alike. Four SATA cables ship with the card, letting you attach up to four drives without buying extra cables. The board requires a free PCIe x4, x8 or x16 slot and draws power from the slot itself.

Sustained transfer at SATA III speeds

Under continuous load the controller maintains SATA 3.0 6Gbps bandwidth across all four ports, backward compatible with SATA 1.0 and 2.0 drives. Port Multiplier command-based switching is supported, while hot-swap capability is not available. Driver support covers Windows 7 through 11, Windows Server 2008 R2 through 2019, major Linux distributions, FreeBSD and VMware ESXi 5 through 7.
