Vszerda 44Pin 2.5" IDE/SATA Adapter 90/180° JM20330 1.5G ATA 100/133

SKU CH-K2E2-AH076

Bidirectional 44-pin 2.5" IDE/SATA adapter with 90/180° orientation, JM20330 chip and 1.5G SATA supporting ATA 100/133

  • Connect 2.5" IDE drives to SATA ports using the JM20330 chip
  • Swap between 90° and 180° orientations for tight spaces
  • Transfer data at up to 1.5 Gbps with ATA 100/133 support
  • Use with 44-pin HDD, CD or DVD devices on either interface

Bidirectional 44-pin 2.5-inch IDE/SATA adapter

This adapter connects a 44-pin 2.5-inch IDE drive to a SATA port or a 2.5-inch SATA drive to a 44-pin IDE port. It uses a JM20330 bridge chip and supports ATA 100 and ATA 133 modes. The flexible 90 or 180-degree orientation helps fit tight drive bays or laptop caddies.

Limited to 1.5 Gbit/s SATA throughput

The bridge operates at SATA 1.5 Gbit/s, so maximum sustained transfer rates are capped well below modern SATA 3 Gbit/s or 6 Gbit/s speeds. Drives capable of higher throughput will be bottlenecked by the adapter. It is unsuitable for applications needing the full bandwidth of newer SATA revisions.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 90-degree or 180-degree connector angle?

Choose the 90-degree angle when space beside the drive is tight, or the 180-degree angle for a straight run; both are included with the adapter.

What does the 1.5G SATA link mean for an ATA 100/133 drive?

The JM20330 chip bridges the 44-pin IDE drive to a 1.5 Gbps SATA port, so the drive runs at its native ATA 100 or ATA 133 speed without exceeding the SATA link.
