What this adapter does

The Vszerda ATX 4 Pin P4 to EPS 8 Pin Power Adapter Cable converts a power supply's 12V 4-pin female connector into an 8-pin male EPS connector for a motherboard CPU socket. It is built with 18AWG copper conductors and measures 6 inches in length. The black and yellow cable is intended for internal desktop builds where the PSU lacks a native 8-pin CPU power lead.

Power delivery limits

This adapter only rearranges the existing 12V lines from the 4-pin source; it does not increase the current the PSU can supply. The 18AWG wires are rated for the standard ATX 12V specification, but the total power remains capped by the original 4-pin connector and the power supply's own 12V rail capacity. It cannot be used to feed an 8-pin graphics card connector, as doing so would exceed the adapter's design limits and risk damage.

Installation notes

The 6-inch length keeps cable routing short inside compact cases, but it also restricts placement flexibility between the PSU and the motherboard CPU socket. Ensure the PSU's 4-pin female P4 connector is fully seated before attaching the 8-pin male end to the board. A loose fit on either side can cause intermittent power delivery or prevent the system from posting.
