Flat Cat 7 cable for tight installs

This 3.3 ft flat Cat 7 patch cable is built for short runs where space is limited. The slim 32 AWG profile slips under carpets and along baseboards without bulk. It suits gamers, streamers and home-office users who need a tidy, high-speed link for consoles, PCs, routers or NAS devices.

10 Gbps at 600 MHz over 32 AWG SSTP

The cable is rated for 10000 Mbps transmission with 600 MHz bandwidth on four shielded twisted pairs. Gold-plated RJ45 contacts and snagless boots keep the connection secure. Bare copper conductors meet the Cat 7 SSTP specification for low noise and interference.

Ideal for short desktop or console links.

Buyers needing runs longer than 3.3 ft should choose a longer cable. Installers requiring solid-core wire for in-wall or PoE deployments will need a different construction. The flat jacket also limits bend radius compared with round cables.

Questions about this item

What real-world throughput will I see from the 10 Gbps rating once the cable is connected?

The cable supports up to 10000 Mbps, so a 10 Gbps link will run at line rate provided both ends negotiate that speed.

Which connector standard does the flat Cat 7 cable use and what speed does it limit me to?

Gold-plated RJ45 8P8C connectors are fitted, the universal Ethernet interface that carries the full 10 Gbps capability.

How thick is the 32 AWG flat cable and will it fit under a carpet or along a skirting board?

The 32 AWG multi-strand flat profile is thin enough to slide under carpet or run flush against a wall without snagging.
