Vszerda DisplayPort 1.4 bi-directional switch

This device connects two DisplayPort sources to one display or one source to two displays. It serves desktop users who need to toggle between a PC and a laptop on a single monitor. It also suits setups that switch one computer between two screens. The switch does not show both outputs at the same time.

External power and manual button control

A supplied power adapter is required for operation. Pressing the front button swaps the active signal path in roughly one second. Indicator LEDs confirm which port is live. The all-metal housing uses a tin-plated interface to reduce interference and maintain signal quality at high bandwidth.

8K 60 Hz and high refresh 4K headroom

The splitter passes 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz through its 32.4 Gbps link. It also handles 1080p at 240 Hz for competitive gaming. Both connected cables must meet the DisplayPort 1.4 specification to reach these rates. It cannot drive two monitors simultaneously or exceed the stated bandwidth ceiling.

Questions about this item

Will the alloy housing or tin-plated DisplayPort connectors need replacement after heavy daily switching?

The alloy housing resists wear and oxidation while the tin-plated connectors maintain anti-interference transmission; no user-serviceable parts are inside so the unit is not designed for internal maintenance.

What resolution limit appears first when running the splitter continuously at maximum bandwidth?

The 32.4 Gbps bandwidth ceiling caps sustained use at 8K 60 Hz; higher refresh rates such as 4K 120 Hz or 1080P 240 Hz stay within the same limit but 8K 60 Hz reaches it first.

How much heat or fan noise does the externally powered switcher produce during all-day operation?

The passive alloy chassis dissipates heat silently with no fan; only the button LED indicates the active port while the external power adapter handles supply load.
