Vszerda DisplayPort 2.0 Bi-Direction 2x1 Switch Splitter

SKU CH-Y4GC-P6FW8

Bi-directional DisplayPort 2.0 switch routes two sources to one display or one source between two displays at up to 16K@60Hz, 4K@240Hz and 80Gbps

  • Bi-directional switching connects two sources to one display or one source to two displays
  • Supports 16K at 60 Hz, 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 240 Hz and 144 Hz
  • Up to 80 Gbps bandwidth with backward compatibility to earlier DisplayPort standards
  • HDCP and SST compliant for protected content and single-stream transport
  • Plug-and-play operation with button switching and LED status indication

Bi-Directional DP 2.0 Switch

This DisplayPort 2.0 bi-directional switch connects two sources to one display or one source to two displays. Only one display is active at a time. It suits users who need to toggle between a workstation and a gaming PC on a single monitor, or switch a single PC between two screens.

80 Gbps bandwidth ceiling

The switch supports up to 80 Gbps transfer rates and is backward compatible with earlier DisplayPort standards. A standard DP 2.0 cable is required to reach the highest resolutions. HDCP and SST signalling are supported, but the unit cannot drive two monitors simultaneously in either mode.

16K 60 Hz and 4K 240 Hz headroom

The device handles 16K at 60 Hz, 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 240 Hz and 144 Hz, plus 1080p at 240 Hz. It runs out of headroom for any resolution or refresh rate combination that exceeds the 80 Gbps link budget, so dual 4K 240 Hz or higher multi-stream setups are not possible.

Questions about this item

Which mode should I pick if I want one computer to drive two monitors?

Use Mode one (Splitter): one PC connects to two displays, but only one monitor shows an image at a time.

What does the 80 Gbps bandwidth mean for my 4K 240 Hz screen?

It provides enough throughput for 4K at 240 Hz, plus 16K at 60 Hz and 8K at 60 Hz, provided you use a certified DP 2.0 cable.

Does the DisplayPort 2.0 interface limit the resolutions I can actually run?

The switch is backward compatible with earlier DP standards, so it will pass whatever resolution your source and display negotiate up to the 16K 60 Hz ceiling.
