Adds five SATA 3.0 ports via PCIe 4x Gen 3 with a JMB585 chip and heat sink
The Vszerda JMB585 adapter adds five SATA 3.0 ports over a PCIe 4x Gen 3 connection. It suits desktop owners who need more drive bays for HDDs or SSDs without replacing the motherboard. An aluminium heat sink is fitted to the controller.
Under continuous read or write loads across several drives the JMB585 controller maintains stable operation thanks to the onboard heat sink. Performance scales with the PCIe 4x Gen 3 link rather than saturating after a short burst. Systems limited to fewer native SATA ports benefit most.
Measured against everything we stock in SATA, IDE & M.2 Drive Adapters, at today’s prices. Recalculated every night.
