This Vszerda adapter converts an M.2 NGFF SATA solid-state drive into a 2.5-inch SATA form factor. It accepts modules with a B-key or B/M-key edge connector and connects them to a standard SATA 3.0 Gb/s port. The board is designed for x86_64 platforms and requires no driver installation to function as a bootable system disk.

Suitable for upgrading laptops with M.2 SATA slots

Builders who have a compatible B-key or B/M-key M.2 SATA module can use this adapter to install it in a 2.5-inch bay or external enclosure. It does not accept M-key only modules, so users with those SSDs will need a different solution. The adapter draws up to 3 A at 3.3 V from the host system.

Keyed for B-key and B/M-key sockets only

The connector layout is the single specification that determines compatibility; the adapter physically and electrically supports only B-key or B/M-key M.2 SATA drives. M-key only modules cannot be used with this board.
