Vszerda M.2 NVME PCIe 3.0 x4 to SFF-8654 & SATA 2-in-1 Adapter

SKU CH-99NE-ABN77

Connects M.2 PCIe or SATA SSDs in 2230, 2242, 2260 or 2280 formats via SFF-8654 and SATA 22-pin interfaces

  • Connect M.2 PCIe SSDs via SFF-8654 Slimeline
  • Connect M.2 SATA SSDs via SATA 22-pin
  • Fits 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280 modules
  • Replaces 2.5-inch drives in tight bays
  • PCIe 3.0 x4 host interface for speed

PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 NVMe to SFF-8654 Adapter

This adapter connects a PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 NVMe module to an internal SFF-8654 Slimeline interface. It accepts 2280, 2260, 2242 and 2230 form factors with key B or key B+M. The card functions as a 2.5inch drive replacement for NVMe storage only.

SATA M.2 to 22-pin SATA Adapter

The same board includes a separate SATA 22-pin connector for M.2 SATA modules in 2280, 2260, 2242 or 2230 sizes. This path lets a SATA SSD serve as a 2.5inch drive replacement through a standard SATA port. The two interfaces operate independently for their respective drive types.

Not compatible with NVMe-to-SATA conversion

This product does not convert an NVMe drive to a SATA interface. Builders who need to run an NVMe SSD on a SATA-only port cannot use this adapter. It also does not support SAS or Slimeline SAS hard drives.

Questions about this item

Will the SFF-8654 connector or the SATA 22-pin header wear out first?

Both interfaces are passive board-edge connectors rated for many insertion cycles; neither is specified as a wear item, so replacement is only needed if physical damage occurs.

Does the PCIe 3.0 x4 link saturate before the M.2 2280 drive hits its thermal throttle?

The adapter passes the PCIe 3.0 x4 signal without active cooling; sustained throughput is limited by the drive’s own controller and system airflow, not by the card.

How much extra heat does the Hyper Kit Storage controller add during all-day operation?

The controller draws minimal power and adds negligible heat; the card has no fan or heatsink, so temperatures follow the installed SSD and case airflow.
