Connects an M.2 NVMe or SATA SSD to a U.2 SFF-8639 port for desktop use
This adapter connects an M.2 solid-state drive using either the NVMe or SATA bus to a U.2 SFF-8639 backplane or cable. It accepts standard NGFF form-factor modules and provides a direct PCIe signal path for NVMe operation. The unit is designed for desktop computer installations where a U.2 interface is available.
This adapter will not work for drives that require a different physical connector or protocol. It cannot supply power to drives needing an external power source beyond the U.2 connection. Buyers needing to connect M.2 drives to a standard M.2 slot or a PCIe add-in card should select a different adapter type.

No published specifications for this item yet.
The adapter is a converter only; you must provide your own M.2 NVMe or SATA NGFF SSD to install in the M.2 slot.
The 2-in-1 design accepts both M.2 NVMe and M.2 SATA NGFF drives, so you can use either type with the same U.2 SFF-8639 connector.
