Adds an M.2 NVME SSD in 2230, 2242, 2260 or 2280 sizes to any PCIe 3.0 x4, x8 or x16 slot with the included bracket
This Vszerda adapter converts an M-key M.2 PCIe or NVMe SSD into a full-height PCIe x4 card. It accepts drive lengths of 30, 42, 60 and 80 millimetres, covering the 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors. The card fits any x4, x8 or x16 slot and works with Windows and Linux without extra drivers.
The adapter runs at PCIe 3.0 x4 speeds and remains backwards compatible with PCIe 2.0 and 1.0 motherboards. Because it is a passive mechanical converter with no active controller, thermal behaviour and throughput under prolonged load depend entirely on the installed SSD and the host slot’s electrical limits. No onboard cooling or power regulation is present.
Before ordering, confirm your M.2 drive uses an M-key connector and speaks NVMe or AHCI over PCIe; B-key PCIe x2 and B-key SATA drives are not supported. Ensure the motherboard has an unoccupied PCIe x4, x8 or x16 slot and enough physical clearance for a full-profile bracket. No driver installation is required, but the SSD vendor may supply an NVMe driver if the OS flags the device.

The adapter is a passive board with no active cooling; it adds negligible power draw, so thermals depend entirely on the installed M.2 NVME SSD and your case airflow.
You need an empty PCIe 3.0 or 2.0 x4, x8 or x16 slot and the included full-profile bracket fits standard chassis openings.
Yes, the adapter is backwards compatible with PCIe 1.0, so it will function in a 1.0 x8 slot while another card occupies a neighbouring slot.
