This Vszerda adapter adds four SATA 3.0 ports through a single Mini PCI-E slot using an ASMedia ASM1064 controller. It targets builders who need extra internal storage connections on boards that lack enough native SATA headers. The card presents a Slimline SFF-8654 interface for breakout cables.

Replaces Limited Onboard SATA

The adapter upgrades systems that have only two or three onboard ports by converting one Mini PCI-E lane into four 6.0Gbps SATA links. The jump is worth it when you must attach multiple SSDs or hard drives for RAID, backup or separate OS volumes and no full-size PCI-E slot is free. It does not support PCI-E or SAS devices.
