This unit cannot combine two sources into one display; it only mirrors one source to two outputs. If connected monitors report different maximum resolutions, both outputs drop to the lower common format. The jump from a passive Y-cable is worth it when runs exceed short desk lengths or when HDCP 2.3 handshakes must remain stable.

40 Gbps Bandwidth with 26 ft Reach

The 40 Gbps throughput handles 8K 60Hz 4:4:4, 4K 120Hz, VRR and high-bitrate audio formats such as DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD. Signal transmission is specified for up to 26 ft total with 16 ft input and 10 ft output cables. Beyond that distance or with non-2.1-rated cables the link will fall back to lower resolutions.
