Adapter lets a B+M-key M.2 SATA SSD replace the 18-pin drive in Asus Zenbook UX31 and UX21 models
This card lets an M.2 NGFF B+M key SATA SSD replace the original 18-pin proprietary drive found in Asus Zenbook UX31 and UX21 models. The PCB matches the factory dimensions of 94 mm by 24 mm for a direct fit. It is built with copper conductors and a SATA connector for the host interface. The unit is supplied new and ready for installation.
This upgrade suits owners of Asus Zenbook UX31 or UX21 laptops who want to swap a failed or undersized 18-pin SSD for a standard M.2 NGFF SATA drive. It does not work with M-key PCIe SSDs, so buyers needing that interface must choose a different solution. Laptops outside the UX31 and UX21 series are not supported.
The adapter electrically supports NGFF B+M key SATA SSDs in four lengths: 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280. It will not function with M-key PCIe drives. Verify that the replacement SSD uses the B+M key SATA interface before purchase.

The package contains the 18-pin upgrade card only; a compatible M.2 NGFF B+M Key SATA SSD in 2230, 2242, 2260 or 2280 size must be purchased separately.
The card accepts four NGFF form factors — 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 — and is designed to replace Sandisk SD5SE2/SDSA5JK 64 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB and ADATA XM11 128 GB, 256 GB drives.
It connects a standard M.2 NGFF B+M Key SATA SSD to the laptop's proprietary 18-pin slot, matching the original 94 mm × 24 mm PCB so the drive fits without modification.
