Vszerda OCuLink SFF-8611 4i Cable

This cable connects an OCuLink SFF-8611 4i host interface to four SATA 7-pin devices. It serves builders adding multiple SATA drives to a system that exposes an OCuLink port. The right-angle connectors help fit the assembly into tight chassis layouts.

Four SATA Ports From One OCuLink Link

The single 4i connector fans out to four SATA 7P ports, letting you attach up to four drives through one cable run. Bandwidth is shared across the four lanes, so simultaneous heavy traffic on all drives will saturate the link. Each SATA device operates at its native SATA speed within that shared pool.

Right-Angle Locking Connectors

Right-angle SATA plugs with locking latches reduce strain on drive ports and keep cables tidy in crowded drive cages. The 50 cm length gives enough reach for typical case routing without excess slack. Male-to-female terminal gender matches standard backplane-to-drive cabling.

Questions about this item

Will the 50 cm right-angle SATA connectors fit next to an older backplane that uses straight plugs?

The four right-angle SATA 7P plugs sit perpendicular to the cable, so they clear tight drive bays where straight connectors would hit the chassis or adjacent cards.

How can I verify the OCuLink SFF-8611 4i link is running at full speed after installation?

Check the host controller BIOS or OS storage utility for a negotiated SAS link rate and confirm each attached SATA drive reports its expected transfer mode without errors.

Does the package include the OCuLink SFF-8611 4i host bracket or only the 18-inch cable with four SATA 7P ends?

Only the 18-inch cable with one SFF-8611 4i plug and four right-angle SATA 7P connectors is supplied; any mounting bracket or host adapter must be sourced separately.
