Converts M.2 NGFF SATA SSDs (2230, 2242, 2260, 2280) to 2.5in 6.0 Gbps SATA with B-key support
This adapter converts an M.2 NGFF SATA SSD into a standard 2.5in SATA 6 Gbps drive. It fits B-key and B+M key modules in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths. The board includes high-capacity filter capacitors and a high-power LDO regulator for stable operation. No drivers are required for the SATA interface.
It suits anyone installing a SATA-based M.2 NGFF drive into a laptop or desktop 2.5in slot. It does not support PCIe M.2 drives, so buyers needing that interface must choose a different adapter. The card draws power from the SATA 7+5 pin connector without extra cables. Installation is tool-free and reversible.
The decisive specification is the SATA III 6.0 Gbps host connection combined with M.2 B-key and B+M key compatibility. This limits use to SATA protocol NGFF SSDs only. Supported drive lengths are 30, 42, 60 and 80 mm as listed. The 7+5 pin connector provides both data and power for the converted drive.

The adapter itself has no fan and is described as producing no noise; it uses high-capacity filter capacitors and a high-power LDO regulator chip for low power consumption.
You need a SATA-based M.2 NGFF SSD in B key or B+M key (2230, 2242, 2260 or 2280) and a free SATA 7-pin data plus 5-pin power connection from your motherboard or controller.
Yes, the adapter supports SATA revision I, II and III (1.5, 3.0 and 6.0 Gbps) and accepts 2242-length drives, so it will negotiate the slower link automatically.
