The card is backward compatible with PCIe 3.0, 2.0, and 1.0 systems. A regular and a low-profile bracket are included for flexible installation.

Suits bifurcation-capable platforms

The card requires a motherboard with PCIe bifurcation support to expose all four ports. Without that feature, only the first port will be recognised by the system. It is not suitable for platforms that cannot split an x16 link into four x4 lanes. A separate SFF-8643 to SFF-8639 cable is needed for each U.2 drive.

No PCIe bifurcation function

This model does not perform PCIe bifurcation on the card itself. It relies entirely on the host platform to divide the upstream x16 bandwidth into four x4 links.
