This Vszerda cable extends an SFF-8482 connection by 0.5 metres using a male-to-female layout. It carries both power and data through a single 29-pin interface designed for SAS hard drives and SAS SSDs. The copper conductors are rated for 6 gigabits per second across two SAS lanes. A UL2725 26AWG jacket provides durability and RoHS compliance.

Replaces short factory cables in tight chassis

The half-metre length bridges the gap when a backplane or controller port sits just beyond the reach of the original drive lead. It is worth adding when cable routing around large coolers or power supplies forces a sharper bend than the stock cable allows.
