USB Ethernet Extender 165ft

The Vszerda USB to Ethernet Extender Adapter connects a USB device to a wired network over distances up to 165ft (50M). It works with Cat6, Cat5 and Cat5e cabling and is intended for users who need to place a USB peripheral beyond the normal cable limit.

Sustained link over long runs

The adapter maintains a stable connection across the full 165ft (50M) extension without the signal degradation typical of passive USB cables. It is not suited for buyers who require Power over Ethernet or fibre-grade bandwidth beyond the standard Ethernet rates supported by the installed cabling.

Questions about this item

How much power does the USB to Ethernet extender adapter draw when running continuously?

The adapter is bus-powered from the USB port and does not require an external power supply, so its draw is limited to what the host USB port can deliver.

What type of Ethernet cable do I need to already have for the 165ft extension to work?

You need a Cat5, Cat5e or Cat6 patch cable with RJ45 connectors on both ends to link the two adapter units.
