A copper CPU water block for AMD sockets AM2 through AM4 with a revised cooling structure that lowers temperatures up to 3°C and a tool-free mounting system
The Watercool HEATKILLER IV PRO is a copper CPU water block with an acetal top finished in black. It supports AMD sockets AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, AM4, FM2, FM2+, 939 and 940. A revised micro-fin structure delivers up to 3°C lower temperatures than the previous model.
This block fits only the AMD sockets listed above; it will not work with Intel platforms or AMD TR4, sTRX4, AM5 or SP3 sockets. Buyers needing a clear acrylic top or a different mounting hole pattern should consider other models. The tool-free Easy-Mount-System simplifies installation on compatible boards.
The two inlet and outlet ports share a 25 mm centre-to-centre distance with standard G¼ threads, accepting 10/13 mm, 10/16 mm and 13/19 mm compression fittings. This spacing decides whether the block fits your existing tubing layout.

The ports are spaced 25 mm apart, allowing 16/10 mm and 19/13 mm compression fittings to be used without interference.
The integrated thumbscrews thread directly into the AM4 retention frame; the step often missed is tightening them in a cross pattern until the built-in stops contact the frame, ensuring even pressure.
The integrated jet structure and enlarged micro-fin array should be checked for debris or corrosion; the design removes the separate jet plate, so the jet nozzles are now part of the block base.
