Outdoor WiFi 6 Extender and Access Point

The Wavlink WL-WN573HP3 is an IP67 rated outdoor wireless range extender and access point built for WiFi 6 networks. It delivers dual band speeds of 573Mbps on 2.4GHz and 2402Mbps on 5GHz for a combined 3000Mbps. Four 12dBi directional antennas provide focused coverage up to 300 metres. The unit supports up to 256 simultaneous devices using MU-MIMO and beamforming.

Replaces Single Band Outdoor Units

This extender upgrades installations still running older 802.11n or ac hardware by adding WiFi 6 efficiency and higher aggregate throughput. The jump is worth it when you need more concurrent connections across a wide area such as a farm or factory floor. It also adds 802.3AF/AT and passive PoE support so a single Ethernet cable up to 100 metres carries both data and power. The PoE converter must be installed indoors as it is not waterproof.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under continuous traffic the directional antenna array maintains a stable link over long distances rather than bursting at short range. Mesh mode interoperates with WN586X3, WN583AX3 and WN573HX3 units for multi node coverage. The IP67 enclosure and 15kV ESD protection keep the radio operating through rain, dust and temperature swings without thermal throttling. Real world throughput will vary with obstacles and interference.

Questions about this item

How is the WL-WN573HP3 mounted on a pole or wall?

The package includes a main body holder, an M4×8×8 mm screw, a wrench and six KA M4×25 mm screws for pole or wall mounting.

What is the common PoE wiring mistake with the WL-WN573HP3?

Using a cable longer than 100 m or below CAT5E spec causes power loss; the PoE converter must stay indoors because it is not IP67 rated.

Which parts of the WL-WN573HP3 may need replacement after prolonged outdoor exposure?

The four 12 dBi directional antennas, the silicone sealing pads and the Ethernet cable are the items most likely to degrade and require replacement.
