Built for outdoor coverage

The WL-WN572HP3-GW is a dual-band AC1200 wireless range extender housed in an IP65-rated enclosure that operates from -22°F to 158°F. Four 7 dBi omnidirectional antennas deliver up to 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 867 Mbps on 5 GHz for yards, garages or camping setups.

Power and mounting flexibility

Passive PoE combines data and power over a single Ethernet cable, so the unit can be placed where no mains socket exists. Two Gigabit ports handle 10/100/1000 Mbps wired links while the device runs in Repeater, AP, Router or Mesh Extender modes.

Sustained operation in harsh weather

The weatherproof housing and integrated 15 kV ESD plus 4 kV lightning protection keep the link stable through temperature swings, humidity and electrical storms. Continuous outdoor exposure is supported without the thermal throttling seen in indoor units moved outside.

Questions about this item

What maximum throughput does the 5 GHz radio reach before it becomes the bottleneck?

The 5 GHz band tops out at 867 Mbps, so sustained transfers cannot exceed that rate.

How loud or hot does the unit get when it runs continuously outdoors?

The IP65 enclosure is rated for -22 °F to 158 °F with passive cooling, so it operates silently within that temperature span.

Which existing network gear must I already have to power and manage this extender?

A PoE injector or PoE switch supplying passive PoE over the single Gigabit Ethernet cable is required.
