Outdoor WiFi 6 Range Extender

The Wavlink WL-WN588HX3 is an outdoor wireless range extender that supports WiFi 6 on 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz bands. It delivers aggregated data rates up to 3.0 Gbps with 573 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz. The unit uses six 7 dBi directional antennas and includes a 54 V power adapter with a PoE converter for single-cable deployment.

Suits large outdoor areas needing one network name

This extender fits farms, yards, RV sites and campsites where up to 256 devices must share a single SSID through Mesh mode. It also works as a router, access point or repeater for wired-to-wireless conversion. Buyers who need indoor-only hardware or a waterproof PoE converter should look elsewhere because the converter is not rated for outdoor exposure.

Sustained operation in harsh conditions

An IP67 enclosure and 15 kV ESD protection keep the radio running through rain, dust and temperature swings. Active PoE compliant with 802.3 AF/AT passes power and data over CAT5e or better cable up to 100 m. MU-MIMO and beamforming maintain throughput for many simultaneous clients during extended use.

Questions about this item

Do I need a CAT5E or better Ethernet cable to power this extender via PoE?

Yes, the PoE converter requires CAT5E or above cable up to 100 m / 328 ft, and the converter itself must stay indoors because it is not waterproof.

Can this unit mesh with my existing WN586X3, WN583AX3 or WN573HX3 devices?

Yes, mesh mode supports interconnection with those three models, creating a single network name and password across all nodes.

How do I confirm the extender is delivering WiFi 6 speeds after installation?

Connect a WiFi 6 client and check that the link rate shows up to 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 573 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, matching the dual-band 3000 Mbps aggregate.
