Outdoor AC1200 Range Extender

The Wavlink WL-WN588HA2 is an outdoor-rated wireless range extender and media bridge that delivers dual-band Wi-Fi 5 at up to 1.2Gbps. It ships with four detachable 7dBi omni antennas and a PoE converter for single-cable power and data. An IP67 enclosure protects the radio from dust and water immersion in permanent exterior installations.

Suited For And Not Suited For

Installers who need to extend 2.4GHz and 5GHz coverage across yards, warehouses or marina docks will benefit from the high-gain antennas and pole-mount hardware. Buyers who require a second Ethernet port for wired clients or a dedicated backhaul radio should look at a different device because this unit provides only one Gigabit port.

Deciding Specification

The single Gigabit WAN/LAN port is the specification that determines fit: it carries both the PoE input and any wired uplink or client, so total wired throughput cannot exceed 1Gbps and no additional wired devices can connect directly.
