4/5 Port M.2 SATA JBOD Adapter

This adapter lets you install up to five M.2 SATA SSDs into a single 3.5 inch drive bay. It presents the drives as one combined JBOD volume to the host system. The enclosure suits builders who want to repurpose existing SATA SSDs without using multiple motherboard slots. It does not work with NVMe or PCIe M.2 drives.

Thermals and power

An open metal frame surrounds the SSDs to maximise passive heat dissipation during operation. SATA SSDs typically draw less power than mechanical hard drives, reducing overall system consumption. No active cooling is included, so airflow in the case should be adequate for sustained workloads. Noise remains at the level of the system fans alone.

SATA-only M.2 support

The adapter accepts only M.2 NGFF SATA SSDs in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths. NVMe and PCIe M.2 drives are not supported and will not function.
