10" x 13" Open End Catalog Envelopes

These envelopes measure 10 by 13 inches and feature an open end design with a center seam. They are constructed from 28# recycled creme pastel sulphite paper with a vellum finish. The remoistening seal provides a secure closure for mailing documents. Each box contains 500 envelopes.

Upgrade from standard white envelopes

The pastel creme colour and vellum finish give mailings a professional appearance that stands out from basic white stock. Acid free paper prevents document yellowing over time, making the switch worthwhile for archival correspondence. Recycled content supports sustainability goals without sacrificing durability.

500 envelope bulk capacity

A single box supplies 500 envelopes weighing 27 lbs total, suitable for high volume mailing operations. The 28# paper weight handles multi page documents and catalogues comfortably. Very thick or heavy parcels may exceed the practical limits of this envelope style.

Questions about this item

Will the 10 by 13 inch open-end catalog envelopes fit in a standard legal-size file drawer?

The 10 by 13 inch dimensions match standard legal paper width, so the envelopes sit flat in a legal-size drawer without bending.

How do I seal the remoistening flap correctly, and what is the common mistake?

Lightly moisten the entire gummed strip, press firmly for a few seconds, and avoid over-wetting which makes the vellum finish curl and weakens the bond.

Does the acid-free recycled sulphite paper degrade or yellow over time in archive storage?

The acid-free construction prevents yellowing and brittleness, keeping the creme pastel colour stable for long-term document preservation.
