Open-End King Size Catalog Envelopes

These envelopes measure 22 inches by 27 inches and are built from 28-pound tan kraft paper. The open-end design with a center seam suits high-volume mailing operations that process flat documents or catalogs. Each box contains 100 ungummed envelopes ready for custom sealing methods.

Ungummed Flap Limits Sealing Options

The ungummed flaps require an external adhesive, tape or mechanical sealer for every shipment. This adds a processing step compared to gummed alternatives and prevents immediate sealing without supplies on hand. The 28-pound stock resists tearing during machine insertion but cannot be sealed by moisture alone.

SFI-Certified Kraft With Vellum Finish

The tan kraft paper carries SFI certification and features a vellum finish for a smooth writing surface. Center-seam construction distributes stress evenly across the envelope during transit. At 22.5 pounds per box, the cartons remain manageable for warehouse handling and storage.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 22 x 27 inch king size or a smaller catalog envelope?

Choose the 22 x 27 inch size when you need to mail flat, unfolded documents up to that dimension; smaller envelopes will require folding or won't fit the pages.

What does the 28 lb basis weight mean once the envelope is in use?

The 28 lb kraft paper gives a stiff, tear-resistant sheet that protects heavy catalogs or multiple inserts without bending in transit.

How does the open end, ungummed flap work with automatic inserting equipment?

The open end on the 27 inch side and ungummed flap allow fast hand or machine loading, but you must add tape, glue or a sealing label to close each envelope.
