Open-Side Legal File Envelopes

These open-side legal file envelopes measure 9.5 by 14.75 inches and are made from 125-pound ivory tag paper with a smooth finish. They feature two side seams and an ungummed 5-inch extended flap for secure closure. The box contains 100 envelopes suited for legal offices and high-volume filing.

Sustained Filing Durability

The heavy 125-pound tag stock resists tearing and edge wear during daily handling and long-term storage. SFI-certified paper maintains structural integrity across repeated insertion and removal cycles. Side-seam construction distributes stress evenly when envelopes are packed tightly in drawers or shelves.

Paper-Based Interface Limits

Physical paper envelopes cannot accommodate digital workflows or automated sealing equipment that requires gummed flaps. The ungummed 5-inch flap must be secured manually with tape, clasps or fasteners. Capacity is limited to the 100-count box or 500-count carton quantities supplied.

Questions about this item

Does the 125# Manila Tag paper feel heavy when a box of 100 sits on a desk all day?

Each box weighs 11.5 lbs, so the stack is noticeable but easy to move when you need to reorganise.

What fastener do I need to keep the 5" ungummed flap closed?

The flap has no adhesive, so you must supply your own clasps, string ties or clamps to secure it.

Will these 9.5 x 14.75 envelopes fit inside my older legal-size hanging folders?

They match standard legal dimensions, so they slide into existing legal hanging folders without trouble.
