Wall-mount carbon-steel enclosure rated NEMA 12, 13, 4 and IP66 with screw-down clamps and neoprene gasket
The Wiegmann BN4-CH enclosure is a carbon-steel housing rated NEMA 12, 13 and 4 for indoor protection against dust, dripping water and oil. It measures 6 inches wide by 8 inches high by 3.5 inches deep with a usable opening depth of 3.38 inches. The hinged cover uses screw-down clamps and a neoprene gasket to maintain the seal.
The gray ANSI 61 polyester powder finish resists corrosion in industrial environments. An IP66 rating confirms protection against powerful water jets and total dust ingress. External mounting plates simplify wall installation while the 14/16 gauge steel provides structural rigidity without excess weight.
Certified to CSA, cULus, IEC and UL standards, the enclosure maintains its protective ratings during continuous operation in harsh conditions. The solid cover and clamp closure prevent contaminant entry over long production runs. Interior panel 3A926 accommodates bus-plug components for reliable power distribution.

Use the external mounting plates to secure the 14/16 ga carbon steel body to the wall; the step often missed is seating the neoprene gasket evenly before tightening the screwdown clamps to meet the NEMA 12, 13, 4 and IP66 ratings.
Inspect the neoprene gasket periodically for compression set or cracking and replace it if the seal degrades; also check that the ANSI 61 powder coat remains intact on the carbon steel to maintain corrosion resistance.
The ANSI 61 powder coat on the carbon steel is the first barrier to degrade under continuous UV and moisture; once the finish is compromised the underlying 14/16 ga steel can begin to corrode.
