WMtec B660M LGA 1700 M-ATX DDR4 Server Motherboard

This motherboard is built for server workloads using 12 13 Gen Intel Xeon processors in an LGA 1700 socket. The M-ATX form factor fits compact chassis while supporting DDR4 memory and RAID 0 1 5 10 arrays. It targets administrators deploying multi-processor nodes for data-intensive tasks.

Dual Xeon upgrade from single-socket boards

Moving to this board adds a second CPU and hardware RAID without changing memory architecture. The jump is worthwhile when workloads scale beyond one socket and redundancy becomes critical. Builders needing only one processor or a different memory standard should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What form factor does the WMtec B660M motherboard use for case mounting?

The board follows the M-ATX form factor, so it fits cases with M-ATX or ATX mounting holes and an I/O shield cut-out for LGA 1700.

How is the CPU installed on the LGA 1700 socket, and what step is often missed?

Align the processor notches with the socket keys, lower it gently, then close the independent loading mechanism before securing the retention lever; skipping the loading-mechanism step can bend pins.
