Socket-2011 dual-Xeon server board with four 8 GB DDR3 RECC modules, PCIe 3.0 x16, M.2 NVMe, four SATA 2.0 and six USB 2.0 ports
The WMtec X79 M PRO is a server motherboard built for Intel Xeon E5 2689 processors in a dual-CPU configuration. It uses the LGA 2011 socket and provides four DDR3 slots running at 1866, 1600 or 1333 MHz. The board ships new with four 8 GB registered ECC modules already installed.
This board suits administrators assembling a compact rack or tower server that needs registered ECC memory and a single M.2 NVME slot. Builders who require more than four memory channels, additional PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots or native USB 3.0 bandwidth should look elsewhere.
The M.2 interface is wired as PCI Express 3.0 x4 NVME, so only drives that speak that protocol will operate at full speed. SATA devices connect through four SATA 2.0 ports, limiting throughput to that standard.
