Dual Xeon server board with four SATA 3.0 ports, six USB 3.0 ports and an M.2 NVME slot
The WMtec X99 8MD3 is a new M-ATX motherboard built around the X99 chipset for dual Intel Xeon E5 V3 processors in the LGA2011-3 socket. It targets system integrators and hobbyists assembling rack or tower servers that need multi-core throughput on a compact 237 x 180 mm PCB. The board delivers two DDR3 channels, four SATA 3.0 ports, six USB 3.0 ports, a single PCIe 3.0 x16 slot, two PCIe 1x slots and an M.2 NVME interface on an eight-layer design with Gigabit Ethernet and ALC662 5.1 audio.
This board fits builders who want dual Xeon E5 V3 performance with registered or non-ECC DDR3 up to 32 GB per DIMM at 1866, 1600 or 1333 MT/s and who can supply at least 500 W from a six-connector power supply. It is not for systems that need more than two memory slots, integrated graphics or a full-size ATX footprint.
The manufacturer specifies that only the listed Xeon E5 2629V3, 2649V3, 2669V3, 2673V3, 2676V3, 2678V3 and 2696V3 models are supported or tested; other LGA2011-3 CPUs are explicitly not supported. Verifying the exact processor model against that list determines whether this motherboard will work.

The board measures 237 x 180 mm and uses the M-ATX form factor, so it fits any case that accepts M-ATX or larger ATX motherboards.
Only the listed Xeon E5 V3 models — 2629V3, 2649V3, 2669V3, 2673V3, 2676V3, 2678V3 or 2696V3 — are supported; other LGA2011-3 processors will not work.
The board has two DDR3 slots running dual-channel up to 32 GB per DIMM at 1866/1600/1333 MHz, so future upgrades mean sourcing DDR3 registered ECC or non-ECC modules.
