Wooster 4181 Ultra/Pro Angle Sash Brush

The Wooster 4181 is a 1-1/2 in angle sash brush designed for trim, cutting-in and detail work on wood, drywall, metal and concrete. Firm purple sable polyester/nylon filaments hold a sharp edge for clean lines with acrylic or water-based coatings.

Easy rattail handle installation

The wooden rattail handle fits the hand naturally and requires no assembly — simply dip and paint. Synthetic filaments resist water absorption so they keep stiffness; rinse thoroughly after use to prevent dried coating from locking the bristles together.

Check coating base and surface texture

Verify the project uses acrylic or water-based paint and that the surface is smooth to medium texture, as specified. The 1-1/2 in width suits narrow mouldings and window sashes; wider flats or rougher substrates will need a different tool.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 1 1/2 in Ultra/Pro Willow Thin Angle Sash brush is performing correctly after first use?

The firm synthetic bristles should hold a full load of acrylic or water-based paint, release it evenly across medium or smooth surfaces without streaks, and spring back to shape when rinsed.

What comes with the Wooster 4181 brush and what must I purchase separately?

The package contains the angle-sash brush with its purple/sable polyester-nylon filament and wooden rattail handle; paint, cleaner, and any additional brushes or rollers are sold separately.

Which version of the 4181 Ultra/Pro Willow Thin Angle Sash should I choose for trim work on wood and drywall?

The 1 1/2 in width with 3/8 in thickness and 2 3/16 in bristle length is the single specification offered, designed for all paints and coatings on wood, drywall, metal, and concrete.
