Flat Sash Brush for Trim Work

This 2-1/2 inch flat sash brush is built for painters who need precise control on trim, sash and narrow panels. The soft polyester bristles hold a fine line without leaving heavy brush marks on smooth or medium surfaces.

Wood Sash Handle and Soft Filament

The wooden sash handle balances the brush for detailed cut-in work while the 5/8 inch thick, 2 15/16 inch long filament releases coating evenly. Synthetic polyester resists water absorption so the brush keeps its shape in both oil and water-based products.

Polyester Bristles for Enamel and Varnish

The soft polyester formulation is selected for enamels, polyurethane coatings and varnishes on concrete, drywall, metal and wood. Stiffer or natural bristle brushes will not lay these thin films as smoothly.

Questions about this item

How often will the 5/8 in thick polyester bristles need replacement with daily oil-based enamel use?

The soft polyester filaments resist solvent breakdown from oil-based enamels and polyurethane coatings, so replacement depends on cleaning after each job rather than a fixed schedule.

What limit appears first when brushing large smooth metal surfaces all day?

The 2 15/16 in bristle length holds enough coating for long strokes, but the 2-1/2 in width means more reloads on wide panels compared to larger brushes.

Does the wood sash handle stay comfortable and cool during continuous water-based varnish work?

The lightweight wood handle does not conduct heat, and the soft polyester bristles generate minimal friction on smooth drywall or concrete, keeping hand fatigue low.
