4-Inch Wall Brush for All Paints

This four-inch wall brush uses firm polyester filaments that work with every oil- and water-based coating. The beavertail plastic handle gives a secure grip on brick, concrete, drywall, metal or wood. It is built for painters who need a single tool across multiple surface types.

Firm Bristles Hold Shape on Large Areas

The 7/8-inch filament thickness keeps the brush from flattening during long strokes on smooth or medium walls. Gold synthetic bristles release paint evenly without shedding, so coverage stays consistent from the first dip to the last. Crews can finish full rooms without stopping to reshape the tip.

Synthetic Limits on Rough Surfaces

Polyester filaments resist solvent damage but cannot match natural bristle on heavily textured plaster or aggressive masonry. The firm setting also makes fine cut-in work harder than with an angled sash brush. Buyers who need delicate trim lines or extreme surface penetration should choose a different tool.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 4 in firm polyester brush generate during all-day painting?

The brush produces no measurable heat; only your arm and the drying coating warm up during extended use.

What paint container opening do I need so the 4 in brush fits without decanting?

A standard 1-gallon or wider paint can opening accommodates the 4 in bristle width for direct dipping.

Will the synthetic polyester filaments work with the oil-based enamel I already have?

Yes — the brush is rated for all paint bases including oil, so your existing enamel is compatible.
