14 in paint roller cover

The Wooster Brush Company R241-14 is a 14 inch paint roller cover designed for use with standard cage and yoke frames. It features a 3/4 inch nap knit fabric cover on a 1 1/2 inch polypropylene core. The cover works with all paint types and is suited for rough surfaces such as brick, concrete, drywall, masonry and wood.

Best for rough surfaces and large areas

This roller cover suits painters who need to coat textured walls or large expanses quickly. It is not intended for smooth surfaces where a finer finish is required. Buyers who want a shorter nap for cabinets or trim should look at something else.

Fits standard cage and yoke frames

The 1 1/2 inch core diameter fits compatible frames such as the WR017-9 and R030-9 models. The knit fabric cover holds paint well for low sheen applications on rough substrates. No special tools are needed beyond a matching roller frame.

Questions about this item

Which roller frame models fit the 14 in cover with 1 1/2 in core diameter?

The cover is compatible with Wooster WR017-9 and R030-9 cage or yoke frames that accept a 1 1/2 in core and 14 in length.

Can the 3/4 in nap knit fabric cover be used on previously painted drywall and wood without changing rollers?

Yes, the cover material is rated for drywall, wood, brick, concrete and masonry, and works with all paint types including low sheen finishes.

How do I verify the cover is loading paint evenly after attaching it to the frame?

Roll the cover in the tray until the knit fabric is uniformly saturated, then test on a small area; an even, stipple-free film on rough surfaces shows it is working as intended.
