4-1/2" Mini Roller Cover for Semi-Smooth Surfaces

This 4-1/2 inch mini roller cover uses a 3/8 inch nap knit fabric designed for semi-smooth surfaces such as drywall, wood, brick, concrete and masonry. It works with flat, eggshell, satin paints, stains and waterproofing coatings. The polypropylene core fits standard cage frames.

Two-Pack Covers Multiple Rooms

The package contains two roller covers so you can tackle larger areas or keep a spare ready without opening a new pack. Having a second cover on hand reduces downtime when the first becomes saturated or when you switch between different paint types on the same job.

Slides Onto Compatible Cage Frames

Installation is a simple push-fit onto frames such as the 8619, BR403-4 1/2, RR013, RR014, RR323 or similar cage styles. The 3/4 inch core diameter matches standard mini frames, but the cover will not fit frames with a different core size or non-cage designs.

Questions about this item

When should the 3/8" nap knit fabric cover be replaced?

Replace the cover when the knit fabric nap wears down, sheds fibres, or no longer holds paint evenly on semi-smooth surfaces.

What limits continuous rolling on large semi-smooth areas?

The 4-1/2" width and 3/8" nap hold a finite paint load, so frequent reloading becomes the practical limit on extended runs.

Does the polypropylene core get hot or soft during all-day use?

The polypropylene core stays stable at ambient painting temperatures; no heat buildup or softening occurs during normal all-day rolling.
