WORKPRO Anvil Trimmer 8" 19 mm

This WORKPRO W151022AE anvil trimmer uses a straight SK5 steel blade that closes against a flat anvil surface. The design suits dead, dried-out wood and stubborn branches up to 19 mm thick. A black coating on the high-carbon steel resists rust and corrosion during outdoor use.

Gardeners cutting dry or dead wood

The anvil action crushes rather than slices, so it is not suited for live green stems that need a clean bypass cut. Users who prefer a lighter bypass motion for fresh growth should consider a different pruner style.

Check cutting capacity and handle fit

Verify that 19 mm covers the thickest material you plan to cut. Confirm the 8-inch overall length and rubber grip feel comfortable for extended one-hand use. Ensure the safety lock engages securely before storing the tool.

Questions about this item

What cutting capacity does the 19 mm anvil blade handle?

The SK-5 steel blade cuts dead or dried branches up to 19 mm (0.75 in) in diameter.

Will the spring mechanism stay responsive if I keep using older bypass pruners for live stems?

Yes, the flexible responsive spring on this anvil model works independently and does not interfere with other tools.

How do I confirm the safety lock is engaged after I finish pruning?

Swipe the lock toggle; the blades stay fully closed and cannot reopen until the lock is deliberately released.
