Share one DisplayPort monitor and four USB 2.0 peripherals between two computers at up to 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz or 2K @ 120 Hz, switching via front button or wired remote
This DisplayPort 1.2 KVM switch lets two computers share a single monitor and up to four USB 2.0 peripherals such as a keyboard, mouse, printer or scanner. It is aimed at professionals and multitaskers who need to control dual systems from one desk without constantly swapping cables.
The unit passes video at up to 3840 x 2160 resolution at 60 Hz and also handles 2K at 120 Hz, while drawing power directly from the connected computers via the included USB A-B cables. No external power adapter is required, so the switch adds no extra heat or fan noise to the workspace.
Two USB cables and a wired push-button controller are included for instant switching between systems; hotkey switching is not supported. The switch works with Windows, Linux, Vista and macOS, freeing up desk space by consolidating one monitor and four USB ports for both computers.

Connect each USB A-B cable from the KVM switch to a computer, link the monitor via DisplayPort, then plug the wired controller into the switch; the step often missed is powering both computers before switching.
The two USB 2.0 cables and the wired controller are the only parts subject to wear; the switch itself has no user-serviceable components.
The DisplayPort 1.2 link caps sustained throughput at 4K 60 Hz, so bandwidth is the first constraint under continuous load.
