The unit requires the included USB power cable for stable operation.

DisplayPort 2.0 bandwidth limits

The switch passes up to 40 Gbps and supports 16K at 60 Hz, 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 240 Hz and 1080p at 240 Hz. Both connected DisplayPort cables must be DP 2.0 certified and no longer than 6.6 feet, otherwise the link may flicker or drop out. Only one output is active at a time; simultaneous dual-display output is not supported.

Single active output constraint

The decisive specification is that two displays cannot show content simultaneously — the device toggles between them. If your workflow demands extended or cloned desktops across two monitors at once, this switch will not meet that need.
