Compact HDMI audio extractor

The WRIARICH OZV8 takes a single HDMI source and splits the signal into a pass-through HDMI output plus separate optical TOSLINK and 3.5 mm analogue audio feeds. It handles video up to 4K at 60 Hz with 18 Gbps bandwidth and HDCP 1.4 compliance. The unit is aimed at installers and home users who need to route sound to a soundbar, amplifier or headphones while keeping the picture on a display.

Bundled cable and power supply

A 5 V 1 A power adapter and an HDMI cable are included so the extractor works immediately without extra purchases. Three EDID audio switches let you choose Pass, 2-channel or 5.1-channel output to match the connected audio device. Both the optical and analogue ports can drive different receivers at the same time, simplifying multi-zone setups.

Small metal enclosure with mounting ears

The black chassis measures 5.59 by 3.15 by 1.26 inches and weighs 3.2 ounces, fitting easily behind a TV or in a rack. Gold-plated HDMI connectors resist corrosion and maintain the 340 MHz signal integrity needed for 24-bit, 30-bit and 36-bit deep colour. ARC support allows audio return from a compatible display without an extra cable run.

Questions about this item

Will the 5V power adapter or the HDMI cables need replacing over time?

The unit ships with a 5V/1A power adapter and an HDMI cable; both are standard consumables that can be swapped with any compatible 5V 1A supply or certified HDMI lead if they wear out.

What bandwidth ceiling limits 4K 60Hz passthrough during extended sessions?

The extractor handles 18Gbps bandwidth at 340MHz pixel clock, so the 4K 60Hz signal stays within spec as long as the source and display both support HDMI 1.4 and HDCP 1.4.

Does the box get hot or draw much power when it runs 24/7?

It draws only 5V at 1A from the included adapter, so heat output is minimal and the compact 5.59 x 3.15 x 1.26 inch case stays cool during continuous operation.
