This 27 cm black cable converts a SATA connection to USB 3.0 so you can attach 2.5 or 3.5 inch hard drives, solid-state drives, Blu-ray, DVD or CD-ROM units to a computer. It supports SATA I, II and III devices and works with Windows 2000 through 10, Linux, Mac OS 9 and later, and Chrome OS. No drivers are required for plug-and-play operation.

5 Gbps transfer ceiling with UASP support

The adapter uses UASP technology to reach up to 5 Gbps on USB 3.0 and falls back to USB 2.0 speeds when connected to an older port. A 12 V 2 A external power supply is included to run 3.5 inch drives that need more current than the USB port can deliver. Optical drives only achieve full performance when UASP is enabled on the host system.

Tool-free use with multiple safety protections

The unit is ready immediately after connection and supports hot-swap removal when the drive is safely ejected first. Built-in safeguards cover short circuit, over-current, over-voltage, overheating, leakage, anti-shock, anti-static and anti-wear conditions. Operating storage temperature range is -10 to 85 °C; do not move or impact the drive while it is running.
