XDUOO MT-604 Hybrid Headphone Amplifier with Four 6J1 Tubes

SKU CH-YKMZ-JH9MN MPN MT-604

A hybrid headphone amplifier using four 6J1 tubes and a Class A transistor buffer, delivering up to 2000mW with XLR and 4.4mm balanced I/O

  • Product typeSpeakers
  • Tube-transistor hybrid blends warm tube tone with solid-state drive
  • Four 6J1 tubes in the pre-amp stage deliver sweet, musical midrange
  • 1300 mW class-A buffer output powers 16–600 Ω headphones easily
  • XLR and 4.4 mm balanced I/O plus independent L/R volume control
  • 10 Hz–60 kHz ±0.5 dB response with 0.01 % THD+N at 32 Ω

Hybrid Tube-Transistor Design

The XDUOO MT-604 combines four 6J1 tubes in the pre-amp stage with a Class A transistor buffer. This hybrid topology blends the warm, musical character of tubes with the speed and driving force of solid-state circuitry. It suits listeners who want tube tonality without sacrificing transient response.

1300 mW Balanced Output

The amplifier delivers up to 1300 mW into 32 Ω loads through XLR and 4.4 mm balanced connections. Independent left and right volume controls allow precise channel matching. This specification determines whether the unit can drive your headphones to desired levels with low distortion.

Sustained Class A Operation

The transistor buffer runs in pure Class A, maintaining consistent bias current during extended listening sessions. THD+N remains at or below 0.01 % at 1 kHz into 32 Ω, and the signal-to-noise ratio reaches 115 dB. Thermal stability is managed within the compact 17×10×6 cm chassis without external heatsinks.

Questions about this item

What does the 2000 mW output into 32 ohms mean for everyday listening?

It provides enough power to drive most headphones to loud levels with low distortion, rated at 0.01 % THD+N at 1 kHz.

How do the XLR and 4.4 mm balanced connections affect the signal chain?

They carry balanced signals through the pre-amp and class-A buffer stages, preserving channel separation from input to headphone output.

What clearance is needed for the 17 × 10 × 6 cm chassis?

The palm-size enclosure fits on a desktop or shelf with minimal depth, weighing 0.5 kg and powered by an external DC 12 V 2 A supply.
