SATA 3.0 SAS 7-pin cable kit

This set supplies six straight-to-angled SATA 3.0 SAS cables, each one metre long. The blue connectors carry 6 Gbps data links for hard drives, solid-state drives, optical drives, NAS units and server hosts. The angled ends ease routing in tight drive bays or mining frames.

Replaces loose or short OEM cables

Swapping tangled factory leads for these uniform 1 m runs improves airflow and simplifies drive swaps in dense chassis. The upgrade is worth it when cable clutter blocks cooling or when a build needs consistent lengths across multiple bays.

Questions about this item

What clearance is needed for the angled SATA connector on this 1 m cable?

The angled 7-pin plug requires only a few millimetres of side space behind the drive, letting it fit in tight NAS or server bays where a straight connector would hit the chassis.

Which orientation do I plug in first when connecting the straight and angled ends?

Insert the straight 7-pin male into the motherboard or controller port, then route the 1 m blue cable to the drive and seat the angled end — reversing the order strains the latch.
