16x20 ft 14-mil tarpaulin

This 16 x 20 ft silver and black poly tarp provides a strong shelter from sunlight, rain and dust. It is made from 100% virgin PE material with triple coated lamination for double-sided use. The 14mil extra heavy-duty thickness and aluminum grommets at 3 1/4 ft intervals give better tear-resistance. Weighs 14.42Lbs with PP plastics capped reinforced corners and seamless edges.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Builders needing a waterproof, UV-resistant cover for pergola canopies, carports, boats, trucks or camping ground sheets will find it fits. Painters can use it indoors to protect floors, furniture and carpets from dust and moisture. Buyers who require a smaller or lighter sheet for quick temporary jobs should look at other sizes. Those needing a fire-retardant rating or a different material composition should consider alternative products.

Installation notes and common issues

Grommets spaced every 3 1/4 ft allow straightforward tie-down with ropes or bungee cords. Reinforced corners with capped grommets reduce tearing at stress points. The reversible silver and black sides let you choose the reflective or absorptive face. Ensure the tarp is pulled taut to prevent water pooling on the seamless edges. Measure the coverage area first so the 16 x 20 ft dimensions fully protect the intended item.

Questions about this item

What tie-down points does the 16x20 ft tarp provide for securing it to a truck bed or frame?

Aluminum grommets are spaced every 3 1/4 ft (1 m) along the edges, and reinforced corners have PP-capped grommets for extra strength.

Can the silver-and-black 14-mil tarp be used as a ground sheet under an older canvas tent without damaging the tent floor?

Yes, the seamless edges and double-sided lamination prevent water wicking and black stains, so it protects the tent floor from moisture and abrasion.

How can I confirm the 14.42 lb tarp is performing as a waterproof, UV-resistant cover after installation?

Check that no water pools or drips through the seamless edges during rain, and verify the surface stays cooler and free of black stains in prolonged sun.
