Sanding sheets for fine surface preparation

These 11 inch by 9 inch sheets use silicon carbide abrasive on a B-weight paper backing to deliver a consistent P100 fine grit finish. The white colour helps reveal dust and residue during sanding so you can see progress on wood, metal or painted surfaces. A 100 pack supplies enough sheets for multiple jobs or extended shop use.

Pack quantity and backing weight change workflow

One hundred sheets in a single box reduce re-order frequency and keep a steady supply at the bench. The B-weight paper backing resists tearing on flat blocks or orbital sanders while remaining flexible enough to wrap contoured edges without cracking. Silicon carbide cuts cleanly and loads less than aluminium oxide on lacquer or primer coats.

Check grit progression and sheet dimensions

Verify that P100 matches the stage you need between coarse removal and final finishing before opening the pack. Confirm that 11 by 9 inches fits your hand block, file board or machine platen without trimming waste. Ensure the work area is dry and free of oil so the paper backing bonds properly to the surface.

Questions about this item

How often will the P100 silicon-carbide sheets need replacing during a typical paint-prep job?

Replacement depends on surface hardness and pressure; the 100-count pack lets you swap to a fresh sheet whenever the grit dulls without running out mid-project.

What wears out first when sanding large panels continuously with these B-weight paper sheets?

The paper backing tears or the silicon-carbide grit glazes over before the adhesive fails, so keep a fresh sheet handy for consistent cutting.

Do the 11-by-9-inch sheets generate much dust or heat during all-day hand-sanding sessions?

Silicon carbide cuts cool and the open-coat design reduces loading, so dust and heat stay low even during extended use.
